I listen to a disproportional amount of the KC Metro radio to and from work. So here is my top 10 radio singles. No real rhyme or reason, these are just the ten singles I could remember at this time I liked, even if for non-musical reasons.
Ty Dolla $ign - Paranoid -
MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS - WHITE WALLS- because I knew a kid who had a Blue Cadillac tatooed on the back of his neck
Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines ft. T.I., Pharrell- Overplayed, but smooth as fuck. The unrated video is a hoot.
Daft Punk- Get Lucky- Pop radio needs more fuckin' (check the youtube video at 2:10, well played)
YG - My Hitta ft. Jeezy, Rich Homie Quan- They bang this a lot on 103.3 Jamz right now
Grouplove - "Ways to Go"- I can't explain this one
Phoenix - Chloroform (Live on Letterman)- this song just caught my attention
Portugal.The Man - Modern Jesus- Also catchy. I never really listened to this band before, but the college kid types like this album
Eminem - The Monster (Explicit) ft. Rihanna- but only the Rihanna parts, I am not into a sober Eminem. I have always had a sweet spot in my heart for Rihanna. When I was in Spain, that Umbrella song was the main symbol of home I heard, and I was brainwashed.
Cage The Elephant - Come A Little Closer- I had a hard time trying to think of a 10th single, so this should do. I mean, look at some of that shit above.
I gotta jet, we are snowed in and I am going to listen to my Rod Stewart Solo work Collectors set now.
