How do you guys feel about it? I think it's kind of awful.

For one, their sound palette seems to have declined over the years. Their records used to be full of these uncanny sounds that made you wonder what the hell they were doing, but now they seem to be satisfied noodling with random synth farts.
One of the things that was always the greatest to me about Autechre was the way tracks evolved slowly over time, going from one place to another, at the end almost leaving you wondering how you got from point A to point B. I think that's the thing I dislike the most about this new album: the tracks don't go anywhere. Even with their noodlier recent stuff like Oversteps or Quaristice, I feel like the tracks had more of a progression over time.

Maybe I'm judging it too harshly, I guess I'm just bummed that most of the Warp mainstays have pretty well fallen off over the past few years.
